Basque Culinary World Prize 2016
An award for chefs who improve society through gastronomy
In 2016, the Basque Culinary Center launched its inaugural Basque Culinary World Prize to acknowledge the work of chefs around the world using gastronomy to create social change.
I was delighted & honoured to have been nominated for this award, and to have made the shortlist of finalists considered! Finding other chefs who do the kind of work that I do has been the biggest gift from this nomination. I am thrilled that the BCC has created space to acknowledge & celebrate chefs who work outside of restaurants this way.
